What is the best weather month to visit Paris? ›

Springtime, from the months of March to May is the most pleasant season, followed by summer which is between June and August. Autumn is from October to November and that is when it starts to get cold and wet, but the weather is still good to visit with its own charm. Winter is not too cold in Paris.

Comfortable weatherproof footwear are necessary for all the walking around. A jacket and small umbrella are also good to bring. You'll probably have a jacket/coat with you from setting out on your journey, traveling to Paris anyway. Nothing more miserable than wet feet, bring waterproof shoes not sneakers.

Rain in Paris is usually scattered, but a rain jacket will help. It will double as a coat, which you will need given the not so warm temperatures that we have at the moment. As for umbrellas, every parisian has one but they are a burden in metros, museums, restaurants... So it's up to you.

Make sure you really like your raincoat because you are going to be wearing it a lot. Right now trenches are popular and for good reason. They work fall and spring, look great with skirts and slacks, and they keep you dry when Parisian skies open up. A raincoat with a zip in lining is the best bet.
